Land Park Infant Center & Preschool offers students the opportunity to learn simple Italian words and phrases. One of the staff members works with small groups of preschoolers regularly. They learn vocabulary words relating to colors, body parts, animal names, transportation, names of food and words such as hello, good bye, mother, father, boy, girl, sister, brother, please and thank you. They learn to count in Italian. They learn about different cities and regions in Itlay as well as the culture.
The teacher works on songs, reads stories, presents art projects relating to the current concept.

We are going to talk about Il cibo (the food), one of my favourite topics. The children are first going to learn about Il mercato (the market) and la frutta (the fruit).
