We're happy to report that the day to day preschool program doesn't look all that much different! However, there are a few notable changes:
Social Distancing is still required and keeping children in their own classes as much as possible.
Parents are not able to be in the building*: We typically have a very open door policy and have parents spending time with us at drop-off and pick-up.
For now we've adjusted to greetings outside under our pavilion . We added daily health & temperature checks. To stay connected and we send photos and messages through social media (website soon) We do not have an answering service set up and we are happy to talk and give you updates on your child.
We're all wearing masks: Teachers wear masks at all times at school.
Children wear their masks during inside play times. We have a great system for mask storage and offer children mask breaks and they are not worn outside, at meal times or rest times. We can only do our best and not ever force a child to wear a mask.
Air flow and ventilation are top priority: We have added high quality air filters to each classroom and have our windows open all day and slightly opened while A/C is on.
Regular Testing: Our parents and staff have signed an agreement to abide by all local mandates and use all precautions to protect our community from any possible exposure. Our Staff are tested when symptoms occur, if they have been exposed or after travel.
What added safety precaution are in place?
Ventilation, extended outside times, sanitation, hand washing, small groups, and staff testing. Most important we are strictly following all the Protocols and Guidance from CDPH and DSS.
Our adjusted hours of operation( due to the pandemic) will be 7:30-5:00 until protocols are lifted
